Our services

Evidence synthesis
Effective Evidence consultants are experienced in undertaking systematic reviews, health technology assessments, meta-analyses and network meta-analyses. We offer a range of services to support your needs, including but not limited to scoping reviews, full systematic reviews or any part thereof, Cochrane reviews, and products for NICE, such as assessment reports for single and multiple technology appraisals (STAs and MTAs), highly specialised technology (HST) evaluations and Medtech innovation briefings.  Our approach will be tailored to your specific requirements.

Information Science
We are able to offer a literature search design service and undertake comprehensive literature searches for your projects, whether this is a systematic review, an economic evaluation, a diagnostic evaluation or a scoping study. Our search strategies are systematic and reproducible and our thorough searches of the literature databases are delivered in a transparent way. By using appropriate study design filters and reporting standards we are able to deliver searches in a timely manner and based on current good practice methodologies.

Our collective experience in evidence synthesis allows us to offer training for researchers, health professionals and those in related disciplines, and decision makers.  We offer an introductory training day for those who use or are embarking on undertaking a systematic review and meta-analysis, covering all key aspects of the reviewing process.  We are also pleased to offer bespoke training days tailored to meet your individual requirements.

Effective Evidence can offer you a consultancy service providing support and advice on the conduct of your review, including protocol design, searching and information science, choices of methodology for the application of systematic processes, critical appraisal and meta-analysis, report writing and dissemination activities.

If you would like to discuss your project with us or for further information on any of our services, please contact Emma Loveman or Jill Colquitt: admin@effectiveevidence.org
